4x4 Jeep Safari in Gran Canaria F.A.Q.

What vehicle is provided for the activity?

The Gran Canaria Jeep safari is done in a 4x4 Jeep that goes to 6 or 8 places, depending on the day of the trip.

Jeep Safari is intended for small groups?

This is a shared tour. Your vehicle, including you, can host up to 8 passengers and is generally on a caravan of more than 1 jeep.

If you are a family or a small group of friends, you can have an epic day together going on a Jeep Safari.

Where is the starting point of the excursion?

After booking the Jeep Safari, you will receive your pick-up time, according to your hotel or accommodation. You will then be translated to the departure point in Maspalomas, close to the dunes area.

Are there any stops for photos or sightseeing during the tour?

Of course! The Jeep Safari Adventure itinerary in Gran Canaria has plenty of stops to take amazing photos of the landscapes, charming villages, and sightseeing points!

Is lunch or any food included in the tour?

Nope, lunch is optional. On the same day, you can decide whether to have lunch with the rest of the group or organize it yourself.

Do I need to bring my own drinks or snacks?

It's not necessary but recommended. We will make several stops during the guided bus tours, but it's always a good idea to bring some snacks and, in case, a refillable bottle of water.

What should I wear?

Bring comfortable clothing (add a hoodie inside your backpack, just in case...), sunscreen, a hat, and a refillable water bottle.

Are there any age restrictions for the tour?

There are not age restrictions for the Jeep Safari Gran Canaria. Children adore the trip because of the adventure spirit of this excursion; that's why they don't get bored like during a regular tour and don't fall asleep after a few kilometres.

Can I bring my luggage or large bags?

You can bring a backpack or small luggage, trying to avoid large bags. Jeeps are essentials, and if everybody brings a large bag, that will be a problem. If you have special requests, ask our customer support team, and we will do our best to help you.

Is the Jeep Safari available in multiple languages?

Of course, the Jeep Safari is available in English, German, Spanish, Dutch, French, Italian, Polish, and Swedish.

Huge Thanks to Cristiano and the Discover Gran Canaria Team!

What an amazing experience! From the very start, Cristiano and the team at Discover Gran Canaria were incredibly helpful, not only recommending this Jeep Safari but also suggesting other activities that were exactly what my partner and I were looking for.

The tour itself was fantastic, stunning landscapes, fun off-road tracks, and a really well-organized itinerary.

Our guide, Jose was fantastic: super friendly, knowledgeable, and hopefully a super-skilled driver ahaha

Again, a huge thank you to Cristiano and the Discover Gran Canaria team for making this such a memorable part of our holiday. If you're looking for a mix of adventure, nature, and great company, this is the perfect experience!

The worst trip we've ever been on.

We had been promised a guide who could speak a language we understood. And there was also a Swedish guide in the other car, he did his best when we arrived at places, but the trip between stops was with a Spanish 5% English speaking person, who pointed to different places, without us understanding what he was saying. The rest of the time he spent being angry and shouting at cyclists. after some stops they started sending us off before the other car, I don't know why we were busier and didn't get the same time as the others, it was as if we just had to finish. After eating, where we had brought our own food, we were again told to drive while the others ate and no we arrived no more than maybe a minute before them. After that we didn't see anything more than the Spanish racing driver pointing a little here and there, without us understanding anything of what he was saying and there while he was driving like hell, according to the other guide we were supposed to, among other things. drive to the water and I can see several things on your map we didn't pass, but he just drove us straight to the hotel, with up to 160km/h I don't even bother trying to explain how he drove, while he was pushing and shouting out the window when other drivers wouldn't just let him squeeze in. One thing is for sure it's SHIT I can't recommend it under any circumstances and downright dangerous, it's possible that those in the other car with the Swedish had a good trip, they at least got a lot of info and history on the way. But with a chance of ending up like we did I would just stay far away.

Dear Morten,

We are not a tour operator or an excursion organizer. Like Sunweb, we are a reseller of activities organized by third parties.

You are clearly confusing us with someone else. As you yourself admitted in private email correspondence, you purchased your excursion through Sunweb, not from us. We have no record of you as our customer, and we had no involvement in your booking or experience.

Your negative review on our platform is completely inappropriate and misleading. If you wish to leave a review, you must do so on Sunweb’s platform or on the website of the actual tour operator who organized your excursion: ask and fix this with the right company.

Furthermore, repeatedly posting negative reviews on our platform is unfairly damaging our reputation. This is entirely unjustified, as we are in no way responsible for what you experienced.

While we regret your dissatisfaction, we will not accept being blamed for another company’s service. We strongly urge you to remove this review immediately and direct your complaint to Sunweb or the actual tour provider.

If this behavior continues, we will be forced to take appropriate action to protect our company’s image.
